1889 Venue on the Squares is located at 106 E. Franklin St, Waxahachie.
1889 is independantly opperated and is not affiliated with Ellis County Museum.
Enter through our black iron gate into a private courtyard illuminated with Edison lights, leading to the first-floor lobby. Take the elevator to the third floor. The Main Event hall will wait for you immediately after you get off the elevator to the right.
1889 on the Square is ready to host your event big or small
1889 is a Historic Venue With Modern Flair. Resurfaced Original hardwood floors with updated Modern tile lobby. Modern elevator and new Kitchen. Original Window Trim, and original, but refurbished stage. The venue is breathtaking and a view in person is a must to truly experience all its beauty.
1889 is much larger than pictures represent and can comfortably accommodate 150 with no dance floor and 120 with, however works well for smaller crowds as well.

1889 is operated and managed by the prominent industry leader, Life’s Enchanted Moments, LLC. Since 2006, they have been providing unparalleled all-inclusive wedding and event services. Their in-house team offers every service necessary to fulfill any wedding or event requirements. Rather than relying on a "Preferred Vendor List," each team member is a paid staff, ensuring a truly distinctive service with a renowned and highly rated reputation.
While 1889 offers the option to customize your package with any desired service, it is not mandatory. Clients are free to engage any vendor of their choice without incurring penalties.

Brittney Wesley owns Life's Enchanted Moments, LLC, and manages all operations at 1889 Venue on the Square, with 18 years of experience specializing in wedding and event planning and floral and decor designs. Life’s Enchanted Moments is known for its full-inclusive packages, as they provide an entire team to meet all your needs for your event. Brittney is well-known in the industry and is highly regarded by her peers and industry leaders. She enjoys collaborating with couples to create elegant, timeless, and fun celebrations. Throughout planning and on the wedding or event day, Brittney provides professional, detail-oriented, and personalized service.
When not working, Brittney spends time with her beautiful family. She has 3 children aged 10 to 20 and a loving husband of 21 years. Outside of work, you can always find her spending time with her family on their farm, traveling for kids' sports, or playing on their boat. Her family operates an Orphaned Bottle Baby Animal Rescue, where they take in any orphaned animal, providing them with nutritional needs and care until they can be reunited with their new families or released back into nature. They also breed King Charles Cavalier Spaniels for therapy resource dogs.

1889 Venue On The Square is a wedding and event space that exudes historical charm and the architectural significance of the surrounding area. Though much of the venue is in its original, restored state, we do provide a large modern elevator located directly off of our entry door. Load-ins and outs are convenient with limited walking.
The Venue is surrounded by large historic windows, offering captivating views of the iconic courthouse, which has been featured in numerous movies and television series and contributes to Waxahachie's reputation as the Movie Capital of Texas.
Ample parking is conveniently available on the street right outside 1889 and in the nearby parking garage situated at the intersection of Jefferson and Franklin Street, which is only 250 ft away from the Private gated entrance of 1889. This offers convenient access to all events.
